A few days into our trip we had a chance to drive up to Griffith Park and see the legendary Hollywood sign up close. It was cool to see it in "real life"

                     L.A weather was so lovely

We visited the Getty Center in Brentwood, Los Angelos, later in the week. It was gorgeous, and admisson is free, all you have to pay for is parking! It is a beautiful drive up through the mountains to the parking deck, then you take a tram car to the actual museum. Such a pretty ride. We checked out the Herb Ritts: L.A Style exhibit.

The Rose Bowl flea market happens on the second Sunday of every month, and we happened to catch one. And we loved it! There were so many cool treasures there. From the vintage jewlery, dresses, acessories, to eclectic furniture and houswares. Anything cool and slightly off-beat can be found at the flea market. Our senses were overwhelmed with everything there was to choose from, and we came home with some cool, inexpensive finds. 

The next day we rented beach cruisers and rode for a few miles along Huntingdon Beach. It was a peaceful and relaxing way to soak up some Cali sun. 

                         Bike Life 

 

Cruisin along the The Pacific Coast Highway , you literally feel like you can reach out the window and touch the ocean.

Later on we went to see the La Brea Tar Pits, tar has seeped up from the ground in this area for thousands of years, sometimes trapping animals.
